With the current design, you cannot go bigger than 3 inch pods on these brackets. I installed 5 inch ones on and the driver side makes contact with the wiper arm. This is with the pod light on the outer hole. I bought aux beam v ultras with side shooters so that I could mount them straight for more forward lighting and side. Unfortunately, I now have to either make some adapters to move the mounting forward or rotate them to point outwards to clear the arm but that's not what I wanted to do with this setup. If these brackets were a bit longer and moved the mounting position a further inch forward, this wouldn't be an issue. Besides that, if you're staying within 3 inches, they're fine. I put gaskets in between the hood and the bracket because mine did rub against it.
Great Kit! Got rid of my janky ACE rover Crankshaft Position Sensor. Also had unrelated issues that Daniel helped me figure out that I thought this box would fix Much appreciated!
Super easy install, looks great, and adds significant storage to the rear of the vehicle.
The Baja Designs Lp6’s are a night and day difference over stock headlights on my D1. Golden Rover’s kit is a super easy plug-and-play install that drastically changes the visibility and look of the Discovery. A headlight upgrade is a must-have for older Land Rovers and this one is just right for the Discovery 1 and 2.
Very pleased with the product noticed a big difference at low speeds and idling on 90+°F days, also keeps the ac cold and blowing hard at idle.
