Very pleased with the product noticed a big difference at low speeds and idling on 90+°F days, also keeps the ac cold and blowing hard at idle.
It was shipped beautifully and well-packed with foam! Installation took just 5 minutes, it was simply a matter of screwing it in place. Great service, too.
(Just one minor downside: the mounting plates behind the rubber seals could really be black as well; that way, you wouldn't see them from the outside.)
Otherwise, it's excellent! I’d recommend it to anyone!
Really great mounting option for the UltraGuage. I can rest easy knowing I have a much better idea of actual engine coolant temp than I did with the stock temp gauge. Only reason for 4 stars is I wish there was a way to mount a little lower on the A-pillar.
Discovery 1 & 2 All-Metal Window Switch Refresh Kit
El servicio de envio muy bueno y rapido, la calidad de las partes muy buenas acabados perfectos, todo se ajusto perfecto a mis D1 y D2
Mount is great, the ultragauge unit itself isn’t.
I wish you could flip it around somehow to be able to mount below the tweeter on the D1's that have it.
I finally have a good larger cup holder for my 1998 Discovery 1. Install was simple
We're all aware of heat issues with our Discos and mine is no different. I've redone the entire coolant system, top to bottom. I've done the inline thermostat. In the dead of summer I'm still hitting 225 degrees at 7500ft up and down the mountains and I'm always nervous, so I drive without the A/C to keep temps down.
Not anymore.
Installation of the kit is totally straight forward, took me an hour to install and everything I needed was included. I even appreciated the included replacement bolts were the locking flange bolt style, no having to worry about dropping washers. No alignment issues with the brackets, everything bolted up quick and easy.
Wiring was all included, I opted to cut the old connector from the old fan, not wanting to lose the ability to disconnect fans easily. Relay, shrink butt splices, even extras in case you mess up. It's all there!
Overall a great kit, especially for the price. Well thought out, fully contained, and a must have for any Disco owner.
I just get mine delivered; we are very impressed with the product. easy to install, and very easy to follow instructions. Good job you guys. Keep this going,
Fits absolutely perfect my only wish is if it came in a beige color option.
Direct bolt on, easy to install. Steady and rigid for bumpy roads. Diff recommend and packaging was a chuckle. Try it on your discovery 2
Great 👍🏼 product the lid top quality great replacement for the old rusty OEM lid, thank you @golden rovers.
Discovery 1 & 2 All-Metal Window Switch Refresh Kit
Fits well. Easy to install. Cleans up the door. Easy to add the OEM speakers and door pocket. Highly recommend.
In the middle of doing this LS to D2 swap.
Painless. It’s amazing.
Due to the cost I deliberated long and hard, investigating alternative fixing options before pressing the 'buy' button. Thankfully I had nothing to be concerned about as Golden Rovers have designed and manufactured an excellent solution for the brittle plastic holding the window switches.
With the aid of the YouTube video and the written instructions installation was a breeze and if not for the clips a 10 minute job. The issue with the clips is that they must be an off the shelf design purchased in bulk and the opening is too small to open up easily to accept the silver plate plus the plastic without thinking what plastic is left is going to shatter under the Herculian effort of getting the clip to fit on.
In the end I squashed down all the prongs and with a wide, flat screwdriver opened up the clip opening to make them a simple push on and hey presto!
Materials are A1! Aluminium bezel, not plastic and once all firmly, but not over tightened, screwed down the switches are rock solid and on my kit didn't foul as a previous reviewer has mentioned.
4 1/2 stars for the kit, half a star deducted for clips supplied.
The clips were ausome.
The quality and fitment is perfect. Love it. Totally great upgrade from the OEM rubber mat.
Perfect fit and looks great. A great addition to my rover
The Ultraguage mount is awesome. It puts my ultraguage in the perfect spot to view while keeping your eyes on the road.
