The Discovery II Competes Again
March is Women’s History Month, and what better way to celebrate than by supporting an extraordinary all-women team in the Rebelle Rally?
Marie, Hanna, and their trusty Disco II "Bernard", are set to defy the odds in a field dominated by newer vehicles.
Keep reading to find out how we can support them as a community. Special perks await!
The Rebelle Rally is a grueling, 8-day long navigation challenge through 2400 km of California and Nevada's deserts. The rules stipulate no GPS, no phones. Just a compass and paper maps are their tools.
Marie (the driver) and Hanna (the navigator) have 12 hours to look for unmarked checkpoints before heading into the next base camp. Simply put, these women are badass. They are the only ones bold enough to compete in a Disco!
We're rallying behind Team 113, the B3 Rebelles, to ensure their journey is nothing short of legendary.
But they need our collective support to navigate through the financial sands as much as the desert's.
The entry fee to compete is $15,000, plus fuel (that’s trucked into the desert), necessary gear, and of course Land Rover maintenance. While newer vehicles get manufacturer support and big name sponsors, older vehicles are left to self-fund. That’s where we can step in as a community of Disco enthusiasts.
